We offer a very fast and efficient service. Usually 1 – 2 weeks depending on what is required. At your free consultation we work out a time frame for your chosen treatment plan.
We endeavour to make our dentures as natural looking as possible. In nearly all situations we can do a trial of the teeth to make sure you are happy with the appearance and adjustments can be made at the trial to ensure the look you want is the look you get.
We have a range of possible colours and shades to make your teeth look as natural as possible. The colour selection is made together, however you have the final say and you’re welcome to bring someone you trust for another opinion.
There are various prices depending on the type of denture you need. At your free consultation we will be able to give you a fixed price based on the treatment plan required. This quote will be valid for 6 months from the time of the consultation.
A new denture helps maintain a good fit, chewing ability, facial support and overall personal appearance and confidence. It is also important in maintaining the gum structure and oral health.
We recommend a change of dentures every 8 – 10 years and a reline every 4 – 5 years. Although the denture is likely to last considerably longer than this your mouth changes shape over time and the older the denture the more likely that it may cause oral health problems and become unhygienic.
If your teeth are beyond repair or you feel they are getting to the point of costing too much to repair then dentures may be an option for you.
There are a few options: Complete upper and lower dentures or just an upper denture, upper denture and lower partial – this is sometimes the better option if you have some lower teeth that are still strong.
Complete lower dentures just sit on your gum and can take time to get used to as there is no suction to hold it in place. If the lower teeth cannot be saved, then we will work with you to help you into transitioning to a full lower denture making it as comfortable and functional as possible.
Come in for a consultation and we can discuss the options and also refer you to a gentle dentist for the extractions.
We have a relaxed atmosphere and will look after you to make it as comfortable an experience as possible for you. Our modern techniques and technologies make the process very gentle.
Yes! With all our processes checkups are included in the cost, so if you have any issues in the first month or two just call to make an appointment.
If issues arise after this time it is usually due to changes in the mouth itself (this is normal as we age). We are more than happy to see you to make any adjustments. There will be a small charge for this.
Yes, 95% of the time your dentures can be repaired. Repairs typically take between 2-3 hours, they are inexpensive and are a same day service. You don’t need an appointment, just call us to let us know what has happened and when you plan to come in.
Tip: Please don’t try to glue your dentures yourself, as this may make the problem worse.
Use a medium denture brush and dishwashing liquid directly onto the denture twice a day. Clean the inside and outside of the denture and between the teeth. Rinse thoroughly under the tap. Do not use toothpaste as it is abrasive.
Tip: to avoid dropping and breaking your dentures while cleaning them, place a wet flannel in the sink or fill the sink with water.
